NEW JERSEY ALT ROCKERS KATYE KELLYE AND THE INTERRUPTION, RELEASE FIRST HOLIDAY ALBUM
WORLD SONGWRITING AWARDS WINNER AND FINALIST, INTERNATIONAL SINGER SONGWRITER ASSOCIATION, JOSIE MUSIC AWARDS NOMINEES SERVE UP AN ORIGINAL ALBUM OF NEW HOLIDAY CLASSICS
Asbury Park, NJ (November 21, 2025) Popular New Jersey rockers, Katye Kellye and the Interruption, announce the release of their new pop-punk holiday single, "How Can We Keep Christmas?".
"Holidays are harder than ever, with many families separated by political beliefs and a realization that perhaps the ties that bind are mere biology, not ideology - or even values" says songwriter and lead singer, Katye Kellye. "How Can We Keep Christmas?" gives a voice to those who won't be spending the holidays with people they don't feel they know anymore.
The track will be released November 21 on select streaming services, as well as available for download through Apple Music, Amazon Music, and Bandcamp. Links to all streaming and outlets are at linktr.ee/katyekellyeandtheinterruption.
About Katye Kellye:
Katye Kellye is a sharp, emotionally resonant songwriter. After a long hiatus following her time with the punk band Toxic Shox, Katye returned to music in 2019 with renewed purpose, releasing Vanity Project, her first EP in over 35 years. Kellye deftly weaves together a tapestry of rock, punk, pop, ska, folk, and even Celtic threads, stitched together with wit, grit, and emotional intelligence. She also writes songs that amuse her.
About The Interruption:
Ms. Kellye is backed by veteran rockers Peter Minde (lead guitar), Paul Friend (rhythm guitar), Larry Gray (guitar), Mary Pranzatelli - Gray (backing vocals), Kelly Palombi (bass guitar) and Bob Jakuc (percussion). Catching them at any given performance on the Jersey Shore may find a rotating cast of other local and touring professionals joining them for a song or two.
Katye Kellye and The Interruption craft a genre-blending sound rooted in rock, laced with punk wit, pop hooks, and Jersey Shore grit—often described as “60 years of Rock and Roll wrapped up in a neat little package.”
