New York City’s Serial Obsession is a band that would sound right at home had it emanated from the sleazy Sunset Strip of the late 80‘s early 90s Hollywood where Guns N’ Roses and Motley Crue first held court. Yet they’re on the other coast, bashing away with their stylistic synthesis of hard rock, glam, grunge, classic rock and metal, all with a punk attitude, all original, and instantly memorable as hell. In an era where new, young, exciting, melodic rock bands have decidedly taken a back seat, Serial Obsession dredges up the kind of glory that came with the likes of Cheap Trick, Aerosmith, Velvet Revolver and KISS yet has faded into distant memory.

Until now.

With the release of their 2015 ,4 song EP “Pull The Pin”, Serial Obsession takes their influences from the past and injects a modern attitude that is pointed towards the future.

Singer Shawn Sugrue has the kind of voice that stops traffic. Emotional, passionate, his pipes are only exceeded by his stage presence. He’s the visual magnet. Bassist Jason Rosin joins with drummer T Motts as the anchor, the tightest rhythm section in town, one that will give your sub-woofer a real work-out. Guitarist Andrew Kadar is under the radar now, but watch out! He’s a six-stringed hero, well-versed in his forebears enough to assimilate the aesthetic of Van Halen/Slash/Page into his own unique captivating style.

Ultimately, words are meaningless, you have to hear them, see them, feel them. They get under your skin. It’s in the almighty riff, the hummable melodies and the attitude. Their bombast is infectious. Audiences at Irving Plaza, CBGB, BB King’s, The Highline Ballroom and Terminal 5 in Manhattan know. So do crowds in Brooklyn, Ithaca, Syracuse and Connecticut.

Serial Obsession is on a mission to bring back the kind of rock that rolls with soul and doesn’t mind getting up and in your face so that you’ll be reminded of the heights that this great music of ours—rock’n’roll—can still achieve.

Terra Stigma  is a five piece alternative, grunge rock band from Long Island, NY. They are currently unsigned, but have played with many national recording artists at many of the Long Island and New York City venues.

Their sound is similar to a pleasant mixing of Mudvayne, Nirvana, and Daughtry. With an intense and passionate sound they have built a solid following, proving the grunge is far from d...ead.

Terra Stigma  boasts two new hot tracks: “Leave My Body” and “Vital”. “Leave My Body” blends melodic vocals with genuine grunge, metal riffs. The guitar intro is evocative and beautiful, providing an excellent build-up for the powerful vocals to come. It’s a catchy song with honest vocals. The lyrics are emotional, expressive, and sure to please. “Vital” displays the softer side of Terra Stigma. The gritty, raw, and powerful voice of vocalist, Justin Aaron is truly showcased in “Vital”. Lyrically the song portrays themes of hopefulness and promise.

The uplifting lyrics of “Vital” are paired seamlessly with a warm, soulful melody and intricate guitar parts. Both tracks are genuinely delightful to listen to.

This was my first time listening to Terra Stigma , and I was honestly impressed by their work. As a child of the 90’s, grunge is perhaps one of my favorite genres of music. I am so pleased that  Terra Stigma is proving with full force that grunge is alive and well. I hope that someday they can join the ranks of other greats of alternative, metal, and grunge music. I wish them the best of luck on their musical journey and I am enthusiastic to hear what’s next for this great group!

Emerging in early 2011, Attik Door encompasses variety of musical styles to create a unique rock/alternative feel. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of artists from Led Zeppelin and System of a Down to Sade and Black Eyed Peas, this band will treat you to a unique sound of equal measure melodic and heavy riffs.

The band members all come from the various corners of the former USSR, locking in the culture lost and fusing it with present musical trends. The songs are predominantly done in English, ensuring interest of as wide of an audience as possible.

Lead by solo guitarist Alex, the band consists of Liana on vocals, Rita on bass, Tim on rhythm guitar and Igor behind drums, Attik Door has been performing live all around San Francisco Bay Area.

The seeds of Artwerk began in the band SSP. It featured Gary Siess (drums and vocals) Tim Prince (bass) and Arthur Scrutchins (guitar, keyboard and vocals). They played together across the state of Oklahoma for about three years, sometimes joined by other musicians for performances. Memories of their life on the road are recorded in Artwerk's song "We Know Differently" (track number nine on "Under the Shade of Trees").

In 2009 Scrutchins, Siess and Prince reunited for a jam session and trip down memory lane. Rediscovering the joy of performing again," Artwerk " was born. Since that time, Artwerk has been busy writing, recording and producing three CD's.

Artwerk's debut CD, "Shelf Portrait" contains a lot of material that was written during the 70's and performed by SSP.

Artwerk's second CD, "Under The Shade of Trees" is a great blend of Indie and Acoustic Rock.

Artwerk's third CD, "Son of the Big Red One" has been described as "Innovative Rock that emerged from 70's roots".

Once again, Artwerk has put together another great collection of Indie Rock and Acoustic Rock tracks.

Formed in April of 2011, Roll It Over immediately began constructing songs comprised of big choruses and catchy guitar riffs. With a sound that takes it's influences from 70's arena rock, 80's progressive music, and 90's alternative rock, the band has worked hard to build a sound that is unique, yet easily accessible.

Over the past few years, the band has managed to build a fan base throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and has shared the stage with many well known acts like Saving Abel, 12 Stones, Hurt, Smile Empty Soul, and Taproot.

The band's debut EP, "Dawning on the Red Streets," was recorded at Fairgreen Studios and features 5 songs including "Memories" and "Once You're Gone" which have received radio play on stations in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware and South Carolina. Each song was carefully constructed to create atmosphere and feeling, which can be felt through the melodic vocal and guitar arrangements, and the raw energy provided by the bands powerful rhythm section. That, coupled with hard work of producers Kenny Kingsborough and Brian Melvin, led to what the band feels is their finest work to date. The band strives to create powerful, catchy music that everyone can be immersed in. It's easy to be labeled as a certain genre but Roll It Over aims to bend those rules and incorporate any and all styles of music into it's ever-growing sound. With tour dates lined up though out Spring and Summer 2013, and a full length album in the works, Roll It Over is force to be reckoned with.

David Hicken is an English composer who lives on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. His passion is creating beautiful music that inspires a sense of peace, harmony and joy. His solo piano works are reminiscent of George Winston and David Lanz.

English composer David Hicken began his musical training at the age of three. He studied piano, clarinet and organ as well as music theory, and was awarded music scholarships to a number of prestigious boarding schools in England.

He was performing organ concertos with the Oxford Symphony Orchestra when he was only sixteen, and solo organ recitals at many Cathedrals throughout the country, including Westminster and St. Paul's.

A year later he moved to the United States to continue his studies at Peabody Conservatory of Music, and he then began composing. After three offers from records companies, he signed with President Records, and his first CD “The Final Toccata” was released when he was nineteen. His second CD “The Shadow of Youth” was released by Prestige Records, London, and after a sold-out performance as soloist with the Westchester Symphony Orchestra, he was asked to record two CDs of organ music for Laserlight Records entitled “Symphony Gothique”, and “A Christmas Pastorale”.

While working as a music director in Beverly Hills, California, he was in great demand as a piano teacher, and taught the children of Hollywood celebrities. Even music industry heavyweights such as Producer David Foster, Film Composer James Horner, and Television composer Snuffy Walden chose him teach their children.

David has given many solo performances throughout Europe and the U.S. and has played at the homes of Cher and David Foster. He also collaborated with Patrick Moraz of "Moody Blues" and "Yes" fame.

His own companyEnchanting Musicreleased a trilogy of solo piano CDs that have been immensely popular, and have sold all over the world.

His compositions have been performed at Carnegie Hall, Canterbury Cathedral and the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris.

David lives on the North Shore of the island of Oahu, Hawaii, where his studio overlooks the Pacific Ocean. His latest releaseCarols of Christmasfeatures 12 arrangements of some of the world's most beloved carols.
