Jared Mancuso Press Release

Jared Mancuso   announces new album   Hype!  available August 2018

Contact: Jared Mancuso jaredmancusomusic@gmail.com, 267-614-1211, www.jaredmancusomusic.com

- Jared Mancuso just produced his third solo album called Hype! with a digital release date set for August 2018 and coming to vinyl in the fall. The album kicks, punches, riffs, and rocks it’s way through 10 new original songs, with themes spanning from lost love to the impact of social media in our modern world. Jared plays and sings every note on Hype!

"Ultimately, what we have here is an album to make rock-expats come'on home and love again. This is the kind of music that holds its genre up, creates a new bar, and makes me proud to do what I do as a music writer."

The Ark Of Music review for Hype!

"It’s ‘The Jungle’ that really caught our attention within the album, with the sub-three-minute tracking arriving like a bolt of Jack White inspired lightning. Riding some heavy ‘Icky Thump’ vibes, it’s a track that illustrates Mancuso’s connection to the modern rock greats, showing that if he’s not at their level just yet, then he soon will be."

Broken 8 Records review for Hype!

Mancuso is a Philly based artist and purveyor of the next wave of alternative rock. Originally from Bucks County, PA, Mancuso developed musical prowess on multiple instruments and honed his songwriting skills in college, where he met his first creative partner Jared Bardugone. Together the two formed Strike of The Heart and later The Jared Project, which released and nationally toured 2 full length albums that blended the pop punk and folk stylings of the latter Jared with the bluesy riff-rock inspirations of the former.

His previous album Superdope was released to critical acclaim, with Jamsphere Magazine calling it, “a damn near perfect album, top to bottom!”

The Hasbros Press Release

The Hasbros Release 'Cart Before the Horse' New Album Out Now FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Jamaica, New York - July 10, 2018 - There aren't many people who pick something back up more than two decades later. Usually, once it's over, that's it. Well, that is not the case for the men that make up The Hasbros. While many trends have come and gone since they dropped their last record in 1992, Bob Hanophy (guitar/vocals) Joe Gorelick (drums/vocals) Ken "Cardinal" O'Connor (bass/guitar) decided to pick back up where they left off with their alternative power pop ways with their 2018 release, Cart Before the Horse .

Jersey Beat's James Damion calls Cart Before The Horse “one of the more addictive records I've recently come across." 12 songs deep, the vinyl includes powerhouse tracks such as "Jackass," Don't Say What You Mean" and "Later On" while the included digital download version adds 4 bonus tracks of some long lost demos and even a live track from 1988. "The Hasbros pull influences from Sonic Youth to The Avett Brothers and everything in between," Alternative Addiction noted, adding, " Cart Before the Horse is a great example of that." During more than 25 years apart, with Hanophy and O'Connor focused on their careers and Gorelick having gone on to play in seminal post punk bands, Garden Variety, Retisonic and Red Hare, The Hasbros got back together for the pure enjoyment of it all. Older and wiser, they want to release music people can have fun with and enjoy either by listening to Cart Before The Horse on their own time or seeing them hit the stage for one of their blistering live shows. The Hasbros plan on playing as many live shows as their schedule permits and are currently planning a limited East Coast tour.

Those interested in reviewing Cart Before the Horse , interviewing The Hasbros or booking them for a show in the Tri-State area can reach out via the information provided below.

About: The Hasbros rocked together for six years before hanging it up in 1992. In 2015 they got the band back together for what they thought was a one time gig at New York City's Arlenes Grocery. The spark had been lit and two years later Bob Hanophy, Joe Gorelick, and Ken "Cardinal" O'Connor were ready to really get back into things. Fast forward to April 2018 and the release of Cart Before the Horse and it was like time had stood still. Their sound was as fresh as ever and it was as if they'd never left the stage.

The Zero Men Press Release

The Zero Men come from the wind swept northern plains with their distilled version of psychedelic progressive rock, varying between hard rock, ethereal introspection, and freak out trips, casting light on the shadows in a human mind. Songs like "Walking Her Dog" and "Mexico" are right at home on the playlist of any frat house dweller, while "Beach" is reminicient of late 60's power rock, "Life For Love" and "You" having an almost Pink Floyd-Beatles feeling. They truly are a most interesting band!

With legends of rock akin to Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Queen dominating their list of musical inspirations, Ivory (Kenny Knox & Gordon Koenig) are now branding their own style of rock with echoes of these powerful voices and melodies evident throughout their music.

Taking advantage of opportunities and gaining experience throughout these, Kenny has performed on stage with the likes of Angry Anderson and Colleen Hewitt in Australia and has performed with The Australian Welsh Male Choir across the country and was vocally trained for a period by opera singer Greg Dempsey which has improved and strengthened his voice to meet the vocal requirements to perform rock anthems and power ballads, soft pop and hard rock. Kenny also fronted Australian rock band, Ivory, and Melbourne cover band 4 Ton of Rock and performed with both bands (with Gordon & Nikki) in Melbourne and surrounding areas between the years of 2001 and 2004 where they eventually built up a reputation and began gaining recognition within the industry prior to the 2004 tragedy of Kenny losing his wife Nikki Smith – bass player and songwriter of Ivory.

After a five year hiatus, Ivory are keen to get back to business and continue their love of rock music with a new album Black Light out now, and more writing and recording currently taking place.

With Rx: Prescription , Rubbernekkerz deliver an hour-long introspective range of alt-rock songs that create an emotional mood from a layering of sounds. Natural and synthetic textures blend to create a spacey backdrop for lyrics that circle around reflective and often melancholy themes. The styles borrowed from range from dark-wave to prog-rock. The topics dealt with in the lyrics include collisions of opposites (such as Machine vs. Animal , and Babylon ), and laws that compel speech. Quite intentionally, the tune that addresses that latter topic has no words, is likely the strongest statement on the album ( Compelled Speech ). A quirky dark sense of humor is seen throughout, such as in the song Van Goth , which appeals to the listener to show compassion for a strange goth character who seems to parallel Vincent van Gogh.

Chief Rubbernekker, Canadian (Toronto-area) Mark Harrington is joined on the song Wait a Minute by vocalist Simon Caine, who enjoyed fame in the early 1970s. Speaking of the past, one of these songs ( Pictures of Red ) was written by Mark in 1987!

New Jimi Hendrix Album "Both Sides of the Sky"

On March 9, Experience Hendrix and Legacy Recordings proudly release Both Sides of the Sky, a dynamic new Jimi Hendrix album featuring 13 studio recordings made between 1968 and 1970—10 of which have never before been released. The album will be released on multiple formats including CD, digital, and as a 180 gram audiophile vinyl 2LP.

Both Sides of the Sky is the third volume in a trilogy of albums intended to present the best and most significant unissued studio recordings remaining in the music legend’s archive. This third release is anticipated to complete the spectacular recording event in epic fashion. “Since Experience Hendrix began its restoration of the Jimi Hendrix music catalog in 1997, our goal has been to present these important recordings to Jimi’s fans in the best possible quality. We are excited about achieving that. We’ve also been intent on generating album releases which present this amazing music in its proper context,” explains John McDermott, one of the album’s co-producers, together with Janie Hendrix and Eddie Kramer.

Pre-Order the New Album 'Both Sides of the Sky'

TRACK LIST:
1. Mannish Boy* – The first ever studio session by the group Hendrix would christen as his Band Of Gypsys. Hendrix, Cox & Miles shared a love for the blues as this driving, uptempo reworking of “Mannish Boy” by Muddy Waters makes clear.
2. Lover Man* – Just two weeks before their triumphant New Year’s concerts at the Fillmore East in NYC [yielding both 1970’s Band Of Gypsys and 2016’s sequel Machine Gun], Hendrix gathered with Cox and Miles to cut this dynamic rendition of what had become a favorite concert staple.
3. Hear My Train A Comin’* – this version hails from April 1969 and features the original Jimi Hendrix Experience (Hendrix, Redding, Mitchell) in their penultimate recording session. They recorded the song live in the studio and tore into it with savage fury.
4. Stepping Stone* – A totally unique take on this Hendrix favorite, with Jimi showcasing both blues and country styled licks atop a relentless, galloping beat.
5. $20 Fine* -Stephen Stills joined Jimi, Mitch Mitchell and Buddy Miles Express keyboardist Duane Hitchings at this September 1969 session. With Stephen handling lead vocals and organ, Jimi added multiple guitar parts to this rollicking Stills original.
6. Power Of Soul – This 1970 studio session came three weeks after the Band Of Gypsys concerts at the Fillmore East. While a live version remains one of the highpoints of Band Of Gypsys, Jimi never released a studio version during his lifetime. For this album, we present the mix that Hendrix and Kramer prepared of the complete song at Electric Lady on August 22, 1970.
7. Jungle* – The influence of Curtis Mayfield can be heard here as Jimi expands on the “Villanova Junction Blues” theme he made famous by its inclusion in the 1970 Woodstock documentary.
8. Things I Used To Do – Jimi is joined for this rendition of Guitar Slim’s blues classic by Johnny Winter. Jimi’s trademark guitar work and Winter’s deft slide playing weaves in and around the foundation set by bassist Billy Cox and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young drummer Dallas Taylor.
9. Georgia Blues – Jimi reunited with some old friends from his pre-Experience days. Lonnie Youngblood, with whom Hendrix played in R&B groups like Curtis Knight & The Squires, voiced this superb twelve bar blues neatly underpinned by Hendrix’s sublime rhythm and lead guitar work.
10. Sweet Angel* – With Axis: Bold As Love only just released, Jimi immediately turned his focus to recording what would become Electric Ladyland. This gorgeous, instrumental reading of “Angel,”, features Jimi on guitar, bass and vibraphone joined by Mitch Mitchell.
11. Woodstock* – Stephen Stills came to this session fresh from having visited Joni Mitchell, who had a new song that Stills was excited to try and record. Long before CSNY’s version, Stephen, Jimi and Buddy Miles recorded this amazing rendition.
12. Send My Love To Linda* – A superb new Hendrix original composition recorded with Cox and Miles in the aftermath of their successful Band Of Gypsys performances at the Fillmore East.
13. Cherokee Mist* – Together with drummer Mitch Mitchell, Jimi created this moody, evocative original complete with his playing of a sitar to complement his traditional electric guitar.
