Gary Paul Bryant

Bryant's WildLife set free
New CD release from jazz fusions artist celebrates diverse influences

Seattle WA - Imagine Billy Joel or Elton John opting for careers as keyboardists rather than pop vocalists. Their music might sound a lot like the music on WildLife, from indie fusion veteran Gary Paul Bryant.

Applying the rock energy of artists like Joel, John and Keith Emerson with lighter touches of Jazz and New Age artists like David Arkenstone and David Lanz, Bryant creates a unique blend of rock, pop jazz and world music that's very unique and appealing.

Thirteen new upbeat instrumentals that cross genres and generations are offered on Gary's 10th CD. Following on the heels of Big World, Legacy and Imaginary Piano, WildLife draws on a palette of influence that includes classical, world, rock and jazz.

There?s no question that the outdoors was on Bryant?s mind when he penned these tunes. Each title evokes a unique relationship with his love of the Pacific Northwest outdoors.

The title track WildLife lures you in with a somewhat warm, but tense new-age feel that explodes into jazz fusion within the first 90 seconds. The upbeat and pop rock cut One Cool Squirrel is definitely the most radio friendly tune in the collection while Raptor Ridge, Burning Hills and Storm on Sucia fuse traditional classical themes with metal rock.

Bryant has seen some success from previous releases. Imaginary Piano, released in May of 2005 included several tracks that still get considerable airplay. Flipside, from Imaginary Piano, went to #3 on the Jazz charts in Australia, while Deliberate Love went to the top 25 on the New Age charts. Big World, his last CD release, went to number 1 in the Jazz charts at Soundclick.com

Most of Gary's music is available on CD from a number of outlets including his own web site, GaryPaulBryant.com, CDBaby.com and others. Additionally, nearly all of his tracks are available for iPod and MP3 downloading from his website and other sites including iTunes.com, eMusic.com and Rhapsody.

The Sixth Sign Appears Over DC!
Diana’s First Solo Release is a New Beginning

TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA (04/02/08) – The sixth sign is now upon us! However, have no fear - the end is not near. This is not the apocalypse and this is not Washington, D.C. This is the DC Concert Theatre in Toronto, Canada. The time and place are set for a defining moment for Indie music and one very talented Indie musician. Diana’s first solo release is entitled The Great Catastrophe of the Sixth Sign and it’s time has arrived. This is a nexus for a new beginning - and what better place than in Canada?

Diana has compressed extreme artistic talent and genius into one tiny musical molecule awaiting a first breath of oxygen. On an April night, in one giant supernova, a “Big Bang” will unveil five tracks. Diana will unleash an explosion of self-composed songs blended over a smooth style of Urban Rock and “chilled-out” Root Rock. The Great Catastrophe of the Sixth Sign is only a catastrophe if you are a fan of cookie-cutter pop. You won’t find that here … Diana’s music is different. This album is a sign and symbol. It’s a sign that pure and unbridled Modern Rock is still alive and well and it’s a symbol that artists can still touch and impact their audience’s lives. Diana’s performances do just that.

The Great Catastrophe of the Sixth Sign has five tracks with lifting melodies dripping with a melancholy mood – it emanates emotion. It is obvious Diana is an old soul in a young earthly body. It is from her soul that the music is composed and created and it flows freely from fingers well trained in instrumentation. It’s with a duality of style that these five tracks come alive. Her style is sometimes a touch of the brashness of Courtney Love and yet sometimes as gentle and sensitive as the Cowboy Junkies’ Margo Timmins. In songs such as “Something Live Heaven” subtle guitar meets harmonica with soothing and smoky vocals. The influence of master artists and songwriters such as Tom Petty are apparent throughout the album. “No Not Alone” and “Don’t Make Me Cry” are lucid haunting melodies taunting a muse of the human condition with all the feel of the best Pink Floyd ever offered. Diana shows she is a simple girl, with complex ideas. “Romeo is Bleeding” is a perfect example of Diana’s ability to deliver the complex themes flawlessly with simply an acoustic guitar and some slide. Except for some masterful help from bass player Nic DiSanto, The Great Catastrophe of the Sixth Sign is all Diana. The sixth sign has appeared over Toronto … it’s not simply something to see … it’s something to hear. A nexus for a new beginning is upon us – the sixth sign has appeared over Toronto. The question will be were you there to see it? For soon all will hear it!

02.06.02 Beautiful Situation

Beautiful Situation is a mix-tape introduction project of beats by producer C Track. Featuring a composition of talent ranging from Hip-hop to Neo-Soul R&B to spoken word. A matter of creativity just waiting to be heard.

But just don’t take our word for it.

"I am only on track two ... but all I hear is greatness and I am not leaving my chair till I hear it all. I was not prepared to hear this level of flyness, but you bet your **** I opened my mind fast so I can receive it all. Track three is running now. So far, hands down, this is the realest ish on such a cultural level .... it's ghetto social commentary from a whole different perspective. Track four has such a beautiful ache to it that makes it so melodic. You kept telling me this project was going to be amazing .... and it's more than that. This is absolutely stunning.”

Sherril Metal Editor in Chief SA URBAN Magazine

"...i love the vibe of your guy’s music... I like track #3... soulful kind of gal to... but keep it up love the production u guys are putting in .. Stay up! “ XO- DJ NITA - Sacramento

Award Winning Artist Debbie Hennessey Releases Good As Gone Music Video

Award Winning Artist Debbie Hennessey has just released her first music video for the song Good As Gone, from her new CD of the same name. Directed by Zach Jordan of Macatawa Pictures, the video was shot entirely in High Definition over two days and two locations. The video is a cinematic performance piece that showcases Hennessey’s distinct vocals and engaging personality.

Day 1 was shot at Woodcliff Studio, where the entire Good As Gone cd was recorded. The video starts here and shows Hennessey close-up and interacting with the audience through the camera. Day 2 was shot in Llano, CA in the High Desert northeast of Los Angeles. With the desert in the foreground and the snow covered mountains in the background the scenery is one of rugged beauty and open spaces. Here Director of Photography Glenn Sauber uses abandoned buildings, open spaces and endless roads to striking effect, shooting Hennessey in the various settings and capturing the energy of one of her live performances.

To view the video, please visit one of these sites: http://www.debbiehennessey.com, http://www.youtube.com/dhenn1, www.myspace.com/debbiehennessey or right here at MusicSubmit.

TheSpeaks

“In the age of shoe gazers and too-cool-for-the-room alternative bands, it’s refreshing to see a band that brings the songs you hear recorded to a higher level in performance. thespeaks are the true sense of what a band is supposed to be....different characters all assembled by a common music thread and that thread has one hell of a groove. DC 101 loves thespeaks Last Band Standing Winners 2004”
- Joe Bevilacqua/Program Director DC101

“thespeaks give us commanding rock with a grunge edge. ‘Solitary’ has all the power of Pearl Jam, but without the whining.” Also commenting on the hit single, ‘She Said,’ thespeaks “multiple explosions of sound and raspy vocals are a winning combination. You'll be hitting replay on this one"
- The Washington Post

“The band's anthemic tunes and sheer energy have earned them a rabid fanbase that packs the house wherever they go. It's been a long time since I've seen a rock band draw as well as thespeaks -- they're definitely headed for bigger things.”
- Jeferey Jones/OnTap Magazine

“On our site we get to hear many great independent bands – thespeaks are by far one of the best. They have an exciting, infectious and progressive sound. In fact, our staff has unofficially voted them most likely to succeed.”
- Jonathan Boutelle/House of Gigs

“I came across thespeaks unexpectedly and I was blown away by the band’s music. They have the unique ability to make all their songs sound like an anthem that every listener can connect to... they sound like what rock music should sound like... thespeaks have had a year that local bands only dream about!”
