LETS TALK BY
Kimberly Bon / Ed Daniels
Produced and Arranged by: Vic Steffens
Horizon Music Group
Generation X, Generation Y move over, this is music for the forgotten
generation, the 40 and over crowd. Remember when you could close your
eyes, listen to the music and see a picture in your mind? When lyrics,
melodies, harmonies and instrumentation were equal in creating the perfect
song,a song that made you feel good.
A year in the making, attention to detail was planned and executed down to
the smallest harmony. Using a team of diverse voices, writers, attitudes
and styles has this compilation of retro sounding music spanning soft rock
through country; each song a cut above the rest.
Artists / Band Members:
Kimberly Bon, Jean Marie Rivera, Vic Steffens, Steve Klunk, Josh Douglas,

“The Future” is here
Los Angeles, CA – Sean Douglas is showing fans the future of hip-hop with his new single “The Future (Fook Fook)” from the new album “Seize the Day.” Douglas ably merges smarts and originality with commercial viability and sends out lyrics that listeners can relate to. His beats, samples and melodies come together in a hooky, sharp-textured groove of hip-hop energy.
“The Future” has got the drive and wordplay fans can expect from the rest of Douglas’ work, offering listeners an intro into hip-hop Douglas style. The phrase “fook fook” is a transliteration of sorts of the words sampled in the song’s hook. The words mean “wake up” and point to the alertness and awareness Douglas urges when facing the future of one’s life.
The full meaning of the chorus, says Douglas, is “Wake up, you dreamers – in Hollywood, things are not always as they seem.” The tune tells the listener to be true to self rather than succumb to the mindset of “Hollywood wanna-be’s.”
“To my fans: Come with me to a side where this nonsense doesn’t exist,” says Douglas. Themes of personal struggle and self-empowerment occur throughout his music.
The classical undertones, confrontational topic, shiny production, commercial song structure, the peak of the song’s bridge and the final chorus segment, the vocalist collaboration – these are all typical of Douglas’ music.
But while “The Future” does boast all the staples of Douglas’ work, he is quick to point out that every song on the album is distinctive, all representative of his style but each possessing its own personality.
Douglas is the son of Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Douglas Stewart. He was raised in Los Angeles and found himself on the road to hip-hop via an interest in spoken word performance he developed in college. From poetry slams to hooking up with local MCs and other poets, Douglas was facing his destiny as a rap artist.
He is currently working with A&R Select, the world’s leading independent artist development firm based out of Los Angeles, CA. More information is available by visiting www.myspace.com/seandouglas1, www.seandouglasmusic.com and www.arselect.com.
Sean Douglas' music is a seamless hybrid of hip-hop, classical, rock and soul. This diverse group brings honesty and integrity back to a fledgling art-form. A tremendous live act accompanies their radio-ready cd.

In The Year 2008 Somewhere deep in cyberspace a musical ecotone was formed. This was due to the over population of bands that tried to fit into narrow genres such as goth, emo, metal, or indie rock. This has created a major refugee crisis consisting of musicians and fans who exist outside of a predetermined cookie cutter category. Thus the refugees are forced to enjoy music without a fashion trend, target audience or even a B.S. backstory. UTTER TRAGEDY!
Where can these Ecotone Refugees be found?
Deep in Brooklyn in their hideout above a bar, rocking out or performing live at various locations.
What should u do if you're lost in this ecotone?
Enjoy cool tunes and pick up any instrument even an air guitar.
This information will explode in thirty seconds.
Ecotone Refugees is:
Johnny Young - vocals, guitar, keys
David Weise - vocals, bass
Michael Galante - drums
Sean Eganz - guitar
One part Stoner Rock, a Bit of Doom Metal, Electronica for Ambience and enough hooks to catch a school of fish.
STEWART FRANCKE ALIVE AND UNPLUGGED AT THE ARK
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Live acoustic album to be released through Burnside Distribution on January 20, 2009.
Detroit— Stewart Francke, one of Michigan’s favorite sons, will release Stewart Francke Alive and Unplugged at The Ark, his tenth album, in November. Recorded in August 2003, the song lineup will feature nine of Francke’s hits done in a soulful, acoustic style, including “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” and “Upon Seeing Simone.”
The new album follows 2006's Motor City Serenade, released by London’s Zane Records. A live concert sponsored by 94.7 WCSX on November 8 at the Village Players Theater in Birmingham will celebrate the release of the record. The concert will begin at 8pm; tickets are available at the VP box office or at www.stewartfrancke.com
Stewart Francke Live and Unplugged at The Ark features several of Detroit’s finest musicians, including guitarist Robert Tye, pianist Christopher Plansker, and vocalists Barbara Payton and Jeanne Staels. The Regular Boys Horn Section is also featured on a couple songs. The night was recorded by Detroit veteran engineer Roscoe White and mixed by Jim Kissling at Tempermill.
Francke is nearly finished with a new studio album as well, to be released in the Spring of 2009. “I’d actually forgotten about the live recording...I found the rough mixes (of this live stuff) while I was writing and recording all these new things,” Francke says. “And the audience that night in Ann Arbor was off the hook, so there’s a lot of humor, a lot of joy–and a ton of energy–even though the presentation was not with the big, rockin’ band. I was struck by how well the band at that time addressed the subtleties of the songs and gave the lyrics room. So I really thought fans of my music would love these interpretations of songs they already know and hopefully love.”
