STEWART FRANCKE ALIVE AND UNPLUGGED AT THE ARK

Live acoustic album to be released through Burnside Distribution on January 20, 2009.
Detroit— Stewart Francke, one of Michigan’s favorite sons, will release Stewart Francke Alive and Unplugged at The Ark, his tenth album, in November. Recorded in August 2003, the song lineup will feature nine of Francke’s hits done in a soulful, acoustic style, including “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” and “Upon Seeing Simone.”
The new album follows 2006's Motor City Serenade, released by London’s Zane Records. A live concert sponsored by 94.7 WCSX on November 8 at the Village Players Theater in Birmingham will celebrate the release of the record. Stewart Francke Live and Unplugged at The Ark features several of Detroit’s finest musicians, including guitarist Robert Tye, pianist Christopher Plansker, and vocalists Barbara Payton and Jeanne Staels. The Regular Boys Horn Section is also featured on a couple songs. The night was recorded by Detroit veteran engineer Roscoe White and mixed by Jim Kissling at Tempermill.
Francke is nearly finished with a new studio album as well, to be released in the Spring of 2009. “I’d actually forgotten about the live recording...I found the rough mixes (of this live stuff) while I was writing and recording all these new things,” Francke says. “And the audience that night in Ann Arbor was off the hook, so there’s a lot of humor, a lot of joy–and a ton of energy–even though the presentation was not with the big, rockin’ band. I was struck by how well the band at that time addressed the subtleties of the songs and gave the lyrics room. So I really thought fans of my music would love these interpretations of songs they already know and hopefully love.”

After two years in the studio, Anti-M have released their new album, DAMAGE (2008). The female fronted goth rock influenced album has a mix of hard rock tracks (Damage), pop rock cuts (Little Things, Let U In), fluid and melodic ballads (Deep), gothic rock epics (Rage, Damage In The Dream) and a smattering of instrumentals (Dreaming in Metaphor, Incineration, The Sixth Extinction, NO KILL I).
Primarily a studio band in the past, Anti-M hopes to take Damage on the road in the near future.

Anti-M is a mix of melodic electronic pop rock and Euro female fronted goth rock. Kind of like Evanescence crossed with Depeche Mode.

Starting out dancing and singing at the tender age of only 5 Year's old... It seemed as if music was always in this young man's blood... So many tragedies has happened to this individual in his youth that his overall mindset and focus is much more ahead of its time then alot of individuals that are his age. Having a general knowledge of playing the piano and the guitar also doesn't harm him in the several fields which he excels in.... To date he has many accomplishments that wouldn't fit on this small spot. Growing up in a household where it was only him and his single mother taught DecadeZ responsiblity and to always try to perfect whatever it is that he did. Alot of people call him one of the most hard-working musician period. He has a uncanny ability to always focus on a goal and work continuously in order to achieve it. As a boy, he was always very intelligent and complex... but now as a man, he's heightened to a new awareness. Mike Street is the best new Hip Hop artist coming out of New York in 2008. He is a distinctive, handsome gutsy trend-setter, with a thug appeal. Just Listen to his new album "The Man and The Dream" and its easy to see why this 22 yr old powerhouse.

I’ve been wanting to tell you...
For those of you who have not taken the opportunity or had the chance to head out to see Sexy Ester and the Pretty Mama Sisters, you're truly missing out on a band I now absolutely LOVE!!
My Spouse and I spent a weekend night with them at Hixters in Warren and they are truly awesome. Lyndsay Evans is an amazing singer, and a night with her singing songs you can belt along to along with others they've written is quite an experience. the rest of the band, IMO, is icing on the cake.

Lead vocals are strong and powerful, which lends a distinctive element to this group’s sound. Get a rock groove on when you listen to “The Tambourine Song” as it showcases solid power chords on the guitar and rolling drum beats. “The Love Song” exhibits how tight these musicians are with their perfect timing, shown throughout the song. The addition of a grooving bass solo really makes the song rock. Taking a change up to a Latin rhythm, “The Simple Life” and “841” shows diversity within the band and includes the use of Latin percussion instruments.
